FDSA Annual meet hails Guidelines

FDSA(Federation of Direct Selling Association) annual meet 2016 held in New Delhi.Industry people,MPs,Govt officails participated in the programme.FDSA’s Annual Meet 2016, it is acknowledged that the Direct Selling industry incorporates Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s ideas and thoughts that culminated in a 5-point agenda – Skill Development, Women Empowerment, Start-up India, Make In India and Digital India.

Key Points:

Mr. Shyama Charan Gupta, Member of Parliament from Allahabad (U.P), addressing a packed Talkatora Stadium at New Delhi, said that he is fully aware of the benefits of Direct Selling industry. “Direct Selling is one of the ways to ground our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s thoughts and ideas. We have a Prime Minister who is not greedy and a well wisher of the layman. The speed with which everything is changing across the globe, calls for changing measures from the government. We need to keep up with the changing pace. China has taken up offensive marketing, where as our industries are closing for want of marketing their products”, he observed.

Mr. C P Joshi, Member of Parliament from Chittorgarh, Rajasthan said, “Direct Selling is the best example of ‘Make In India’ concept, which is a brain child of our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. The government that I am working in is a ‘Direct’ government. The money goes to the bank accounts directly”.

Urging the government to release the guidelines for this industry as over 6 crore people are dependent on this industry across the Country, Mr. A P Reddy, President, FDSA (Federation of Direct Selling Association), said, “We are not asking for reservations or subsidies or employment. We are only asking for a law that would give us a hassle free environment to work. This is the only industry which thinks about the welfare of others as the very principle on which it operates is ‘unless you make others happy, you cannot be happy’. This is the only industry which works without black money and duplicate products”.

While lauding Mr. Md. Zakir Hussain, Ms. Shilpa Gupta and all others who have extended a helping hand in the mission, Mr. Reddy said, “We want your support even after the guidelines are released. We want to show the world that India has developed because of Direct Selling”.

Mr. Bejon Misra, Founder Trustee, Consumer Online Foundation, said, “We have a dynamic Prime Minister and the whole world is looking at him. India is India and India is global”.

Department of Consumer Affairs at the Union Level and the respective state government(s) in the state(s) have been appointed as the nodal department to deal with issues on Direct Selling.
